Fairlawn Mansion Guided Tours

  • Fairlawn Mansion is Superior’s Victorian home that was a private residence from 1890 to 1920 and a Children’s Home for 42 years.
  • Fairlawn Mansion is open year-round, but tour schedules vary throughout the year. Bookings can be made 2 months in advance.
  • All guided tours depart from the Carriage House Gift Shop at the top of the hour.
  • Please note: private rentals and special events can cancel public tours; calling ahead is recommended.
  • If you have a complementary pass or coupon, please select how many you will be using and then present them when you arrive for your tour.
  • Refunds are not issued for regular and special tours/events. Your tour will either be re-scheduled, amount will be donated to the museums, or you will receive a credit to your account for future use. Exception: if Superior Historic Properties cancels the tour/event due to weather, or a private event, guests will have the option to reschedule, donate the amount, or get a full refund.

SS Meteor Whaleback Ship Guided Tours

  • The SS Meteor is the last above-water Whaleback ship in the world!
  • Open June – October 19, 2025! Bookings can be made 2 months in advance.
  • Exhibit space is open during regular hours. All tours will depart from the Gift Shop on the bottom of the hour. Guests will be allowed to view the exhibit and visit the Gift Shop before and after the tour.
  • The Exhibit Only price DOES NOT include a full guided tour of the ship.
  • If it is hot outside (above 85 F) call ahead (715-394-5712) to make sure that we are open. We will contact reservations due to cancellation. If it is above 85 F inside the ship we may close early.
  • During the tour, you will encounter multiple ladders and stairs to go up and down and heights when on the boat deck. Closed-toe sandals or shoes with a good grip and no skirts/dresses are recommended.
  • For private event rentals, please call 715-394-5712.
  • Any complimentary passes, library passes, membership punch cards, museum passes, and coupons MUST be presented at check-in.

Old Firehouse & Police Museum Self-Guided Tours

  • Open May 17 – October 19, 2025.
  • Take a self-guided tour of the historic Old Firehouse and Police Museum.
  • Everyone 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult in the museum at all times. Last visitors will be admitted at 3:30 p.m.
  • Private rentals and special events can cancel public tours; calling ahead or reserving online is recommended.
  • Please present coupons, complimentary passes, library passes, and membership punch cards upon check-in. These forms of payment are not valid for special tours and events.
  • All ticket sales are final. Exception: if Superior Historic Properties cancels the tour/event due to weather, private event, or staff availability, guests will have the option to reschedule, donate the amount, or get a full refund.
